It’s been a great couple of days so far at the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships at the Hippodrome in North Augusta, SC. Our pro shop, Killer B Disc Golf, is at the center of it all and we are having a of lot fun meeting kids from all over the country.
College kids. Disc golf. Warm sunny weather. What could be better?
Over 60 college teams are headed to North Augusta, SC to compete in the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships at the Hippodrome next week. We at Killer B Disc Golf pro shop are happy to be in the middle of it all, especially now that we have these sweet trophy baskets on display. Wow!
Innova dropped off the trophy baskets for the past six champions yesterday. So nice! What school is going to take home top honors next week? I’m rooting for my alma mater, UMass, who is making their first trip to the tourney!

Hott Shott developer, Pete May, has made a few tweaks to the format that we are testing out for him as he prepares to take this extremely fun putting game nationwide in 2013.
Week 1 saw the return of several 2012 Hott Shott winners, plus a handful of newbies, and we had some fierce competition from the first putt. This Wednesday should bring even more people, laughs, trash-talking, and good times. See you there!

- John Borelli is the owner of Killer B Disc Golf pro shop at the Hippodrome. He lost his new favorite disc today in a huge patch of pricker bushes.
We all know that a lot of disc golfers don’t stop playing once the snow starts falling. But do you know how to you find your disc in the snow?
Here’s one way that worked great for me from a practical how-to article I wrote a few years ago. Pictures included!
What works best for you?
Our dog Aspen is excited that several of the top players in the game have donated something to add to our Grip EQ bag fundraising raffle. We have received autographed discs from Nate Doss, Valarie Jenkins, Jeremy Koling, and most recently Paige Pierce. It’s great to see the Grip-sponsored players stepping up. Thank you very much!
If you’d like a chance at winning a new Grip Eq bag filled with goodies, get your tickets now!
Thank you to everyone who has already bought tickets too!
A few days ago I did some practicing putting with my nephew dog, Gryphon. Who knew he was such a good helper? Good dog!
This video is on a mini-viral spree on our Facebook page and has been viewed and shared by hundreds of people and was shared on the PDGA FB page too.
Gryphon hasn’t become a YouTube sensation yet, but I’m sure he will need an agent soon!
Make someone’s New Year great by winning them a new Grip Equipment disc golf bag and help us raise money for Aspen’s Angel Fund. (info)

Thanks and good luck!
We had a great time this past Monday at Killer B Disc Golf Shop in Augusta, GA as we welcomed back our locals who participated in the 2012 World Championships in Charlotte. This group of golfers included two newly-crowned champions, Pro Legend Pete May and Advanced Grandmaster James Elkins!
FOX54 sent over a reporter and she interviewed Pete, James, former World Champ Chuck Hornsby, 9th in the World Josh Childs (Pro Open), and 5th in the world Aaron Doyle (Jrs Under 16). It was a lot of fun!
Look for the story to air Thursday or Friday. We’ll keep you posted!

Killer B Disc Golf Shop of Augusta, GA is happy to be participating in Where’s Waldo in Augusta!
To help celebrate Waldo’s 25th birthday, small businesses around the country are hiding the striped adventurer somewhere in their store. All you have to do is find him, check him off your list, and start collecting prizes.
It’s free and a fun way to spend a few hours with the kids. There’s also a party at the end of July at the Book Tavern a few blocks down from Killer B where maybe you’ll see the real Waldo!
So stop by the store, get your list, and start hunting! Follow Killer B on Facebook for photos and news throughout the month. We’re going to have fun with this!
We at Killer B Disc Golf in Augusta, GA are thinking about starting a morning disc golf league. What works in your area? Do you play in one?
I have a feeling there are a lot of 2nd- and 3rd-shifters who are missing out on the fun of league play.
Let me know your thoughts and tell me what works well in your area. Thanks!
Our new hometown of Augusta, GA is in the ball golf spotlight this week with a little tournament you may have heard of called the Masters. Last night there was a reception honoring legendary golfer Tom Watson just a few doors down from our disc golf pro shop, Killer B Disc Golf.
We took the opportunity to seek out Mr. Watson for an autograph and to spread the word about disc golf. Read what happened on our blog!
