  The week in review at Rattling Chains 

  Hey all — we wanted to post here and give a weekly review of the content we had at Rattling Chains.

  This past Friday, P.J. Harmer had a first-person account of playing a round with 2010 world champion Eric McCabe.

  On Thursday, Steve Hill gives his experience of taking part in a clinic given by top professionals Dave Feldberg, Nikko Locastro and Philo Brathwaite.

  In his work to convert to being a backhanded player, Andre Fredrick talks about developing an anhyzer and having to say goodbye to the two holes that helped shape that shot.

  Also this past week, we had our review of Vibram’s newest disc, the Lace. In the review, we also held a contest to give the disc away. We announced the winner Sunday night.

  Finally, the poll this past week covered content at Rattling Chains as we continue to try and shape the site.

  The week in review at Rattling Chains 

  If you haven’t had the chance to visit RattlingChains.com lately, we’ve had some good content. Come check us out!

  In the past few weeks, we’ve gone to posting five new stories per week with the hopes of our Friday story being more of a feature — something that can hold the weekend. Maybe it’s something people will read in a couple of sittings instead of one. Or maybe it’s just a piece we feel should be out there longer.

  The rest of the week is our normal content, which we hope is quality and something to keep readers coming back for all their disc golf reading needs.

  Today, we have an in-depth look at this weekend’s Players Cup, which is happening in Texas. Go see what the tournament is about, its start and a few players to watch.

  On Thursday, new Rattling Chains writer Aaron Minton talks about finding magic in playing leagues. Wednesday’s post was the second installment of “Words with Wysocki” as touring pro Ricky Wysocki talked about being in Philadelphia and playing the Yetter.

  This past Tuesday, Skulboy Designs was featured in a Company Closeup by Steve Hill. Monday’s poll was about the time you spend on a course. If you haven’t already, go vote and comment on that one!

  One of the features we do at Rattling Chains is a Company Closeup, where we find smaller companies in the disc golf community and write about their story.

  The staff at Rattling Chains has a new review up about the Disc Beeper, an innovative new product to help people from losing discs! Come check it out!

  Also, the Rattling Chains blog will hopefully be undergoing some changes over the next few weeks. The look won’t change, but the hope is to give more original and entertaining content.   What’s new at Rattling Chains… 

  ‘Tis been a while since we updated the readers of TALKdg what we’re up to over at RattlingChains.com…

  … Better late than never, no?

  Anyway, we’ve been kind of throwing on fumes lately, but are picking back up. You can see what’s going on with us by checking out the “State of the Chains” address we had a few days back.

  Having trouble with putting from distances? How about a falling putt? Rattling Chains lead instructor Jack Trageser takes you through the workings of what many call a “jump putt” in his latest story.

  Oregon-based writer Andre Fredrick has recently joined the staff at Rattling Chains. His latest piece is about how knowing your ability and what you can do with your game can help you win the battle with trees.

  Right now, with many people out playing and such, Rattling Chains is on a 3-4 posts per week schedule. We have some fun and exciting things coming down the pipeline, though. Keep peeking back!

  The latest over at Rattling Chains 

  We’ve been quite busy over at Rattling Chains, so if you haven’t checked us out recently, here’s some of our recent item.

  Starting with today, we have a new poll up at the site. We want to know how many rounds a week you play. Remember, if you comment on that post after voting, you’ll be entered to win something from the prize box!

  Last week, one of our writers tackled the Discmania FD Jackal and gave his first Noodle-Armed Review. Check out what he had to say about the disc as someone who doesn’t quite throw 300 feet. The review is definitely from the eyes of someone who is not a big-arm thrower!

  Also last week, our resident creative guy took us through some of his creations with portable baskets — and he’s looking for more ideas. So check out the story and maybe you can give him some ideas!

  There was also a story about a disc golfer taking a mission trip to Haiti — and bringing the sport with him. It’s amazing how the sport can be such a great thing in any spot.

  Finally, there’s the story of the Allen and Ginter (A Topps brand) card of Avery Jenkins and how it helped grow interest in disc golf by the RattlingChains.com lead blogger. (Check this story out soon and you could have the chance to win one of two signed cards!)
