In his work to convert to being a backhanded player, Andre Fredrick talks about developing an anhyzer and having to say goodbye to the two holes that helped shape that shot.

Also this past week, we had our review of Vibram’s newest disc, the Lace. In the review, we also held a contest to give the disc away. We announced the winner Sunday night.

Finally, the poll this past week covered content at Rattling Chains as we continue to try and shape the site.

Despite the Thanksgiving holiday, things have been busy at Rattling Chains.

Today is an in-depth story about Vibram Disc Golf, its beginnings, the current state and the future.

This story is part of our “Friday features,” where we’ll work to give readers a longer, more detailed read. We’ve had several solid reads recently, including a two-part series on DG Course Review (Part 1 I Part 2) , and one about two people playing their 1,000th course together.

The winner of the Avery Jenkins/Brodie Smith disc giveaway was announced Thursday night. We also offered our best holiday wishes Thursday.

Jenny Cook offered her thoughts on how tough it can be playing as a woman in tournaments in Wednesday’s post.

On Tuesday, we had a Photo Focus post. And Monday, as per normal, was our weekly poll. This week, the poll covered readership of Rattling Chains. It’s the first of two polls concerning the site as we’re looking to change a few things around.

In the past few weeks, we’ve gone to posting five new stories per week with the hopes of our Friday story being more of a feature — something that can hold the weekend. Maybe it’s something people will read in a couple of sittings instead of one. Or maybe it’s just a piece we feel should be out there longer.

The rest of the week is our normal content, which we hope is quality and something to keep readers coming back for all their disc golf reading needs.

Today, we have an in-depth look at this weekend’s Players Cup, which is happening in Texas. Go see what the tournament is about, its start and a few players to watch.

On Thursday, new Rattling Chains writer Aaron Minton talks about finding magic in playing leagues. Wednesday’s post was the second installment of “Words with Wysocki” as touring pro Ricky Wysocki talked about being in Philadelphia and playing the Yetter.

This past Tuesday, Skulboy Designs was featured in a Company Closeup by Steve Hill. Monday’s poll was about the time you spend on a course. If you haven’t already, go vote and comment on that one!

The latest is NutSac. People love playing with the NutSac, and who can blame them with it being American made and big enough to carry only the discs truly needed.
