I realize I need to get a little more regular about posting our news at Rattling Chains over here at TalkDG, so let’s see if I can do it in a weekly review sort of way.
Despite the Thanksgiving holiday, things have been busy at Rattling Chains.
Today is an in-depth story about Vibram Disc Golf, its beginnings, the current state and the future.
This story is part of our “Friday features,” where we’ll work to give readers a longer, more detailed read. We’ve had several solid reads recently, including a two-part series on DG Course Review (Part 1 I Part 2) , and one about two people playing their 1,000th course together.
Jenny Cook offered her thoughts on how tough it can be playing as a woman in tournaments in Wednesday’s post.
On Tuesday, we had a Photo Focus post. And Monday, as per normal, was our weekly poll. This week, the poll covered readership of Rattling Chains. It’s the first of two polls concerning the site as we’re looking to change a few things around.
RattlingChains.com is proud to announce that Ricky Wysocki will be joining the staff as a writer. Wysocki will be bringing readers his thoughts and views from the road, being a pro, and showing the life of a touring professional player. Wysocki is just 19 years old and has made his mark on tour already and will keep getting better.
Check out today’s announcement about Wysocki joining the team.
The world of night golf. Where glow discs, LEDs and glow sticks are much-needed items!
Rattling Chains writer Andre Fredrick takes us through ways of preparing and playing a round of disc golf. He offers some tips and gives a small list of items one should bring to have a successful outing. Go check it out at RattlingChains.com!
RattlingChains.com’s resident instructor Jack Trageser brings a second excerpt from the book he’s working on about disc golf. This time, he expounds on disc golf being in the position to shine because of costs related to ball golf and other sports.
Come by and check it out, only at Rattling Chains!
Explore Disc Golf, a Massachusetts-based company is featured in the the latest Company Closeup at RattlingChains.com.

It’s been a while since we’ve updated the TalkDG readers about what’s happening over at Rattling Chains, and for that we apologize.
We recently held a successful women’s week, where everything was based on the women’s game. We hope to make that a yearly feature at the site as promoting the game for women is something we should all do.
We’ll have some big things coming soon, too. We just need to iron out a few details before we release these things.
For now, let us get you up to date on some recent things at the blog:
In our most recent poll, we ask golfers how they would react in a hypothetical situation. We’re giving away a disc for the story our staff finds to be the most entertaining. So go vote in the poll and comment there to have a chance to win the disc. Remember, have fun with this. There’s no need to be serious because we hope this situation would never happen. The best response will win a disc!
Vibram’s newest mid-range, the Obex, is set to hit the streets in June, but we had the chance to get our hands on one of the discs. The review — written by three of us — is also on the blog. Check out the thoughts from three players of different skill levels.
Finally, our resident creative guy, Darren, branches out to discuss trash on the courses. Give it a read and maybe we can all make things better!
Thanks to all our readers for coming by daily as we strive to be the best disc golf blog that we can be!
For the past two weeks, RattlingChains.com has run a contest about disc golf stories with a random winner getting a disc!
The winner was announced today as well as a look at some of the stories.
We also have had a few hosting issues the past couple of days, but that hopefully looks like it’s behind us… so come check the winner and see the stories from the past two days if you missed them!
We have a new weekly poll up at Rattling Chains. This week we ask about other sports you might play. Remember to comment as well to be able to win a little something from the prize box.
This past weekend, we also started a semi-regular contest using photos. The question is — did it rattle the chains? You have to decide. Go check it out to cast your vote! This runs for next couple of days, so get over and vote to have a chance to win!
