If you haven’t read Steve Hill’s post yet over at Rattling Chains, I’d suggest that you do. It’s a good read, and it sheds some light on some of the misconceptions that some dg’ers have about thinking they need to go out and throw max weight stuff all the time. With that being said, I’d like to add a little bit of my experiences with chucking different weights, what works for me, and even a little review of my favorite lightweight disc that is currently a staple in my bag.
Happy Chucking, y’all!

We are in the process of putting together a review website that we call REVIEWdg and we are asking for a little help from folks who would like to be BETA testers.
We just need you to register at the site and review a couple of discs – kick the tires so to speak. We welcome your feedback here.
All of the navigation stuff is not in place and there is still a lot of housekeeping to do, but the basic REVIEW engine is built and we are curious as to what you think of it all.
Some of the questions/drop-downs we ask you to fill out help us build dynamic charts that will become available to users once the database starts to grow. We will be adding new manufacturers and discs all of the time. And remember you don’t have to fill out every line – only fill out the ones that you want to when it comes to styles of throw and disc characteristics.
Thanks and Throw Well,
DGSquared got in touch with Avery Jenkins to ask him about his Grip EQ disc golf bag- hoping for a few words to pass along to everyone and offer up some insight… It ended up being more than a few words; as a full scale, in depth review soon took form. If you’re interested in all the ins and outs of this new piece of disc golf gear, and want to hear about it from a top pro-
I have the sparkle undertow in hand.
Today is the first day our snow melt.
(two days of 50 degrees)
unfortunately, we have 40mph winds and soon rain..
Wonderful weather we are having – blah.. Wisconsin is beautiful June, July, Aug
that it. The rest of the year, we adapt.
Ok, I have four sparkle undertows.. Been throwing them and digging them out of snow for the last month or so..
Right now, I rate them as a faster TL.
Speed is about 9. Turn is about -1, Fade is about 1, Glide is about 5
Keep in mind, this is with cold weather. Some wind. I am wondering if it will change when the temp gets warmer and When I finally dont deal with so much wind at WSD practice course.
Have some nice roller potential. Definitely will need to find a place in my bag for it. I like it for the line it presents when I nail the throw or even a nice slow anhyzer fade when I can put it on the line. Was looking at my silverback and trying to figure out where the undertow will go. I have 15 discs in my silverback at the moment waiting to break out for
some disc golf rust from last year… Only played a total of 40 holes since january 1st (one sloshy byop event) I usually throw junk discs in the winter in case they end up in the snow and I cant find them. My first pdga tournament is March 31st. I am not ready but hell, I need the escape from homework (second master’s degree), schoolwork (school psych gig), and most of all…cabin fever.
