Your Disc Golf Hero: The Tour de Calvert
Wednesday: Jerman sends a smack text to Dick and I about Saturday. I ignore it in a psychological ploy. Dick naturally responds and gives Jerman the satisfaction he was looking for.
Friday: I call Dick to see if he was still planning on Swamping on Saturday. He said he was.
Dick: What time do we have to be there?
Hawk: I honestly don’t know.
Dick: I figure it will be the usual 0930 wake up/roll out for me to be there at 10.
Hawk: I’ll text you the registration time after I get home and look it up.
You can tell from this exchange that the competitive fires are burning fiercely! It turns out we have to register by 0900.
The Tour de Calvert is an unsanctioned tourney. We call these Z tiers around here to differentiate them from Association sanctioned tourneys. Naturally most of your Association tools won’t play a Z tier as there are no ratings or points from them. Z tiers are tourneys where you see guys playing shirtless and holding a beer. Z tiers are where It’s in the air!
